windows-8-logo The major player in the Laptop market is Windows and Windows 8.1 was released a few weeks ago adding key features to the Windows 8 operating system. You also have the MacBook Pro for those that are a fan of Apple. On the increase this year is Google’s entry into the laptop market, the Chromebook.

The market as a whole is saturated with Windows 8 Laptops and Computers. This is mainly due to Windows being the market leader for these devices. There are many manufacturers that make Laptops (HP, Lenovo, Sony, Samsung etc) so we have chosen three machines ranging in price.

Up first is the HP Touchsmart 11. This is a Windows 8 touch screen laptop.hp With use of the cloud you can back up information online and be able to access this from a Windows 8 Laptop, Windows 8 Tablet or Windows 8 Phone. Along with that you get a 500GB harddrive to store information locally. With HDMI capabilities, extremely responsive touch screen and great battery life this makes it an ideal portable laptop.

You can purchase the HP Touchsmart 11 for £299.

delll The second one we have selected is the Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition. This laptop has stunning visuals with Full HD 1080p Graphics. For sound it has the technology of Skullcandy with its speakers to provide richness and clarity. It comes with 3 x USB 3.0 meaning faster transfer times for USB Devices. The big surprise here is that you get 1 TB (1000GB) Hard Drive. With all these features this is a bargain for a mid-priced laptop.

You can purchase the Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition for £489.99.

If money was no object then you may consider the Lenevo ThinkPad Helix. lynx_1This laptop combines the power of an Ultrabook with the mobility of a tablet. It uses a combination of being a tablet and laptop to provide a truly unique experience. What makes this different is that all of the processing power is in the Tablet itself, not in the docking station. It has two cameras that are both Full HD 1080p; rear-facing being 2MP, front-facing being 5MP.

You can purchase the Lenovo ThinkPadHelix from between £1339.99 and £1769.99.
